What is Chair Massage?

And other Common Questions

Chair massage is performed in a specially-designed massage chair and focuses on the areas of the back, neck, shoulders, arms and hands. A session lasts anywhere between 5 and 30 minutes. There is no need to use oils or lotions, so the client remains fully clothed. Chair massage increases blood flow and decreases tension in the muscles that tend to ache from everyday stresses. After your massage you will feel relaxed and notice an increase in energy just moments after your massage. Receiving a chair massage is a much healthier way to spend your coffee break than at the coffee maker.

What is Chair Massage?

We provide on-site chair massage in both corporate and personal settings.  So, whether you are in HR and want to set up recurring massage at your workplace, or are hosting your best friend's baby shower at your own home -- Coffee Break Massage & Wellness is for you!

How much space is required for Chair Massage?

Chair massage can be performed almost anywhere, such as a corner in an office, a small area of a trade show booth, or a small room in your home. We only need space to set up the massage chair, and to be able to move around comfortably.

How much does it cost?

We will work with your budget, so please contact us for pricing options.  Some examples of payment options are:

  • Employer-sponsored: The employer covers the cost of the massage
  • Employee-sponsored: The employees pay for their own massages
  • Co-Sponsored: Employer and employee split the cost of the massage

What can I expect during my Chair Massage?

Your professional massage therapist will ask you if you have any injuries or areas of concern.  You will sit facing forward and will rest your knees on the knee pads and then gently rest your face in the adjustable face cradle cover. We are able to massage your entire back, neck, shoulders, arms and hands. If there is an area you'd like avoided, just let your massage therapist know.

Who will be my Massage Therapist?

All Coffee Break Massage & Wellness Therapists are graduates of accredited massage institutions, fully licensed and insured in Massachusetts. We are qualified and eager to provide a great chair massage experience.
